Seminar on glass: part 1

This is the first part of a seminar on glass, twenty minutes of discussion during a two-day set of seminars on the origins of the modern world. Parts were used in the series 'The Day the World Took Off' (program 4) , first shown on C4 television in 2000 A.D. It was filmed in King's College, Cambridge by Windfall Films. The five academics are: Alan Macfarlane, Joel Mokyr (Dutch-American), Maxine Berg, Christopher Cullen, Simon Schaffer (wearing spectacles).
